What has Crossford Community Council done for the village in the past 20 years?


Annual and periodic tasks:


  • Summer flower displays along Main Street and Cairneyhill Road

  • Upkeep of garden area in the King George V park and other areas around the village – various gardening teams.

  • Chronicle preparation / publication and distribution (3 times a year)

  • Artificial pitch – pay for MUGA lighting – King George V park

  • Apply for funding for Gala day, Gala fireworks.


Projects in King George V park:

  • Youth Shelter

  • Children’s play area

  • Artificial Pitch / MUGA

  • Garden area

  • Woodland walk

  • Wooden bridge (south west corner)

  • Climbing/ spider nets

  • Re-surfacing of Pitch / MUGA

  • Update of floodlights to LED low energy units

  • Queen’s Jubilee tree planting

  • John Hamilton memorial bench

  • Scout Hall CCTV system installation


Awards for all funding 2019 (£8678) for village groups:


  • Tables and Benches – Scout Hall

  • Greenhouse and Hockey equipment – Crossford Primary School

  • Goal posts and football kit – Crossford Football Club

  • Santa sleigh refurbishment – Gala Committee

  • Village flower display – equipment


In addition to this, Crossford Community Council regularly provide feedback to Fife Council / and our local Councillors on matters:


  • Planning - Local Place Plans

  • Road Traffic management

  • Pot Hole reporting

  • Drainage

  • Other
